Handen Torsak
Handen is a native of Provo, Utah, where he was raised with a strong work ethic, a foundation of faith, and a deep appreciation for lifelong learning. He credits much of his growth to the mentors, teachers, and family members who invested in him along the way. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Utah Valley University, where the mentorship from seasoned scholars not only shaped his academic path but also opened doors to meaningful opportunities. With their support, he spoke and led at United Nations parallel events, interned in the United States Senate, and contributed to several scholarly research projects. Inspired by those who invested in him, Handen chose to serve in the Utah Army National Guard. He trained as a paralegal specialist at the U.S. Army Paralegal Specialist Training Center in Fort Lee, Virginia.
The quiet kindness and selfless service of others continues to guide his desire to live with purpose and make a positive difference in the world.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Handen values time spent with his wife. Together, they enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, camping, and watching movies. He also enjoys woodworking, appreciates a good laugh, and is deeply interested in learning about the histories and cultures of people around the world
