Alyson C. McAllister
Alyson is an experienced trial attorney who is well-respected throughout Utah. Currently, she serves on the Board of Governors for the UAJ and for the American Association for Justice. Alyson has served on several committees for the Utah State Bar, including her current service as chair on the Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, chair of the Model Utah Jury Instructions Committee, chair of the Utah Supreme Court’s Legal Services Innovation committee, and the Ad Hoc regulatory reform task force. Alyson is also a member of the Federal District Court Rules of Civil Procedure Committee for the District of Utah. She previously served as the President of the Utah Association for Justice and Chair of the UAJ Women’s Caucus.
She is frequently invited to lecture other lawyers at legal seminars on a variety of subjects, including civil rights, Utah’s legal sandbox, medical malpractice, litigation and trial strategies and other personal injury topics. She also regularly serves as a mentor to new lawyers admitted to the Utah State Bar.
During her 25 years of practice, Alyson was involved in the Houghton (Medicaid) Class Action case, among other important cases. She has appealed several civil rights cases to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Alyson is married to Jared McAllister. They have one son.
